The Administration department is one of the core service departments responsible for the day to day administrative management of the State House. It handles administrative matters that usually flow from the Office of the Chief of Staff (OCOS). It coordinates all activities relating to Human Resources Management, Office Management, Meeting Secretariat, Catering Services and General Housekeeping, Travels arrangement for Presidential movements, Transport facilities and services, Establishment and service matters, Board of survey and other ad-hoc duties/services that may be assigned to it. It also provides administrative services to other departments and divisions including SHMC, SHVC, MDGs office, Offices of Presidential aides, etc.
1.2. The department is structured into two divisions: General Duties and Human Resources Management. The General Duties Division comprises five branches: Catering Services, Common Services, Meeting Secretariat, Office Management, Transport and Special Duties while the Human Resources Management comprises three branches namely: Appointment, Promotion and Discipline (APD), Training and Staff Welfare.
- 2. ACTIVITIES
The department is responsible for the management of the following;
2.1. Office Management, Board of survey, meeting secretariat and security matters.
2.2. Catering and housekeeping services at rh Residents of President, Vice presidents and members of their families.
2.3. Management of transport vehicles and infrastructures, Staff Bus Scheme to ease transportation of staff to and from office to their residence.
2.4. Servicom unit to ensure right attitude to work, punctuality and efficiency.
2.5. Vetrinary Unit which comprises six sections; Dog (K9) section, Mounted section
(Training Horses), Wildlife (Zoo), Clinic section, Laboratory and Transport.
2.6. Human Resources, Staff Appointment, Promotion, Discipline and welfare,
NHISS /Health matters NHF scheme, Staff Union , Cooperatives, Welfare Items in
Festivities, sports and Gymnasium among others.
