The Department has the strategic function of construction and maintenance of facilities of the State House. The department functions fall under three broad categories namely scheduled, corrective, and preventive maintenance. Four sections team up to perform the role of maintenance namely,
Architecture /QS services that prepares drawing and cost estimate of structures, Building construction and maintenance that constructs and maintain structures, Electrical that services high voltage Electric power transformers management of chillers air conditioners and electrical appliances, Mechanical that services power generators, lifts and other mechanical facilities and Horticulture, gardening and cleaning services.
1.1. Preparations of designs drawings and cost estimate of buildings and structures.
1.2. Building and construction of structures.
1.3. General servicing and maintenance of Electrical facilities and appliances.
1.4. Maintenance mechanical plants, lifts, vehicles and other facilities.
1.5. Water supply, settlement of water and sewage bills, maintenance of water and sanitary facilities and installation of rew water irrigation facilities amongst others.
1.6. Cleaning of offices, residences, guest houses, and other facilities.
1.7. Horticultural works/ Parks and Gardens arrangement of fresh flowers coordination of garden activities, tending and mowing of lawns and fumigation of floral members.
1.8. Management of Villa maintenance agreements undertaken by Julius Barger Nigeria limited.
