Planning Research & Statistics
The Planning, Research and Statistics Department is one of the three Common Services Departments made compulsory to all Ministries , Department and Agencies by the defunct 1988 Civil Service Re-organisation Decree and was recommended for retention by the Alison Ayida Review Panel. The Department is structured into the following divisions;
1.2. Planning division that develops plans coordinates development of plans, monitors and evaluates implementation of plans and capital projects.
1.3. Research and Statistics Division that research into activities of units in make recommendations for improvements, coordinates annual progress reports of all departments, coordinates interdepartmental quarterly market survey and collection, collation processing analysis and interpretation of data.
1.4. Procurement Unit responsible for processing of all the procurement requirements of the State House in accordance with Public procurement Act 2007.
1.5. Library Division acquires, process, stores and disseminates information including books, Newspapers and magazines amongst others.
- 1. FUNCTIONS /DUTIES
2.1 . Development Plans (Rolling, Medium and Perspective);
2.2. Monitoring and Evaluation of Plan Implementation;
2.3. Management of the Procurement Unit;
2.4. Research into the internal organization and operational modalities of the State House;
2.5. Research into the sectors over which the State House has jurisdiction;
2.6. Constant collection and processing of data and statistics relating to the State House;
2.7. Liaising with relevant bodies outside the State House.
